Peter Anthony Nieves is a patent attorney whose practice focuses on many aspects of intellectual property, including domestic and foreign preparation and prosecution of patents, trademark prosecution, licensing, and disputes concerning patents, trademarks, copyrights and domain names.  Peter regularly counsels clients and renders opinions concerning the infringement/non-infringement of patents, the validity/invalidity of patents, and the design of products and processes to avoid potential infringement assertions.

Peter's prosecution experience encompasses a wide range of electrical and electromechanical technologies, including: analog and digital electronics; analog and digital telecommunication systems and devices; application software; business methods, computer graphics and animation, computer processor and memory architectures; DSL technologies; InfiniBand architecture; integrated circuit design and fabrication; Internet technologies, including Web site interaction and use; multimedia transmission systems and methods, optical telecommunication systems and devices; power supplies; set-top servers and applications; signal processing; and, wireless communication systems and devices.

Peter is licensed to practice in the state of Georgia and is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the state of Georgia, as well as the Court of Appeals of the State of Georgia. In addition, Peter is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office .

Peter received his JD in 1998 from Franklin Pierce Law Center located in New Hampshire, where he was an active member of the New Hampshire Inventor Assistance Program. In 1995 Peter received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo , where he co-founded the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers .  Peter is a member of the Intellectual Property Law section of the American Bar Association, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the Atlanta Bar Association, and the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers.

Peter is Of Counsel with the law firm Sheehan Phinney Bass + Green, located in Manchester, New Hampshire and Boston, Massachusetts.
